Overnight guests stay in the Spirit Mountain Lodge, the hotel wing attached to the main resort. Standard rooms carry the usual king or two-queen layouts, and a smaller set of suites adds a separate sitting space for those staying several nights or travelling as a family. Windows look out over the Coast Range foothills or the property itself; ask for a hillside outlook when you reserve, because the view toward the trees is the calmer of the two.
Furnishings change as wings are refreshed, so treat any photo you find elsewhere with caution. If you need an accessible room, a connecting pair or a quiet floor away from lifts, put the request in writing at booking and ask the hotel to confirm it.
Pools & spa

Dining is spread across several venues, from a quick counter for coffee and a sandwich to a sit-down room for a slower dinner, plus a buffet-style restaurant where you can graze across stations. What’s nearby
East of the resort the land opens into the Willamette Valley, where tasting rooms cluster around McMinnville and Dundee and pinot noir is the local pride. West on the same highway the road climbs through the Coast Range forests — fir, fern and frequent mist — before dropping to the Pacific at Lincoln City, with its beaches, tide pools and kite-flying wind.
That geography is the real case for staying here: one base, a vineyard afternoon one day and a sea-air walk the next, and a warm room waiting in between. Please arrange a driver or a tour if you plan to taste wine.
How to get there
The resort stands on Highway 18, the Salmon River Highway, at Grand Ronde, roughly midway between the Portland and Salem area and Lincoln City on the coast. Portland International (PDX) is the practical airport; from there you continue by road, either in a rental car or with a pre-booked shuttle or private transfer if one is offered for your dates — ask the hotel.
Parts of the highway are two-lane and winding through the hills, and winter brings rain, fog and the odd icy morning. Allow extra time after dark, and check Oregon road reports before setting out in the colder months.

Who publishes this page?
